Professional Actors Needed

Wanted: 1 female and 2 male professional actors. We are looking for versatile actors who are able to play a young age range. We welcome applicants from a diverse background.

About the programme: The Y has commissioned Women & Theatre to produce a Theatre in Education Programme for young people in KS3 (11/12 yr olds) exploring the dangers of gang membership and associated crimes. The Programme will contain a half-hour narrative theatre piece followed by an hour-long creative workshop with young people. The programme will tour to schools during two weeks in November, playing to groups of up to 30 young people.

About The Y
Based in the centre of Leicester, The Y houses a 300 seat Victorian theatre, bar with exhibition space, Dance Studio and meeting/rehearsal facilities. It presents a multi art-form performance and participation programme. Programming is inclusive and community focussed with particular emphasis on reflecting cultural diversity, the empowerment of young people and the development of the local arts infrastructure.
