Home to 91 young people aged 16-25, our housing service provides a safe and welcoming place where residents can find the support, skills and confidence they need to move on to independent living.

If you are aged 16 25 and facing homelessness you can contact our housing team for advice using the contact details below, plus see useful links at the end of the page.

East Street

Our city centre building provides a mix of furnished one-bed studio flats and four and six bed clusters with shared kitchen/lounge areas, all with en-suite shower and toilet facilities. Completed in July 2011, the 4m transformation of East Street realised our vision to create exciting, high quality living spaces that young people can be proud to call home. Residents from all sites get free access to the fitness studio, sports facilities and reduced tickets to The Y Theatre based at East Street.

Aylestone

Our 17 acre site on the outskirts of Leicester contains five recently refurbished houses sitting alongside our football fields. There is an education suite and diner for training and activities as well as a community garden.

Move On

The fully furnished Michael John Henry House and Michael John Linnett House each have facilities for four young people. The move-on houses and individual studio flats enable us to offer an incentive and a semi-independent step to help residents prepare for and sustain their own accommodation.

Housing - Accessibility

Accessible Flats

Three spacious flats at East Street and four at Aylestone have been specially kitted out to suit young people with physical disabilities who are making the transition from the home or care environment.

"There isn't anything like this in the city that gives young disabled people the opportunity to try out living independently for the first time. These flats offer a safe environment with lots of support, a social network and great city centre location." - Leicester Disabled Children's Service
